Tavas, a cleaning and facility services company from the Electra FM Group, has been leading significant and transformative change in Israel’s cleaning industry in recent years. This transformation began with a sustainability-driven shift and has continued with groundbreaking technological innovation. With a comprehensive vision rooted in environmental responsibility, quality of life and operational excellence, the company has redefined how modern cleaning services can and should look.
Tavas’ commitment to both clients and employees is evident in every action: developing advanced solutions tailored to individual needs, investing in innovative technologies that enhance service quality and providing teams with cutting-edge professional tools. When a company invests in its people and focuses on continuous development, the results are felt immediately in the field and reflected in high customer satisfaction.
The company’s innovation journey began with an environmental revolution driven by a genuine commitment to the environment and employee health. Tavas adopted a 100% ecological materials policy, using plant-based ingredients with high biodegradability and no heavy metals or sulfates. All cleaning materials comply with Israeli and European Eco-Label standards. Gradually implemented since 2023, this initiative positioned Tavas as the first company in Israel to place true sustainability at the heart of the cleaning industry, improving environmental and employee health and creating meaningful added value for clients who enjoy healthier and cleaner work environments.
After laying this foundation, Tavas moved to the next stage of innovation under the leadership of Ilan Shimoni, CEO of Tavas, who views innovation not as a temporary project but as a long-term organizational value. As he explains, “Innovation begins on the ground and with the people. It is designed to enhance the service experience, empower employees and create real value for customers”.
To advance this effort, Avi Yeshurun, Northern Region Manager, was appointed Head of Innovation. With extensive expertise and a passion for technology, he travels to exhibitions and factories around the world, meets manufacturers across China and Europe and brings advanced solutions to where they are most needed. He also founded the Tavas Innovation Community, enabling direct collaboration between clients, managers and employees across the country to implement innovation in the field, develop smart tools and introduce new methods that continue to transform the industry. to implement innovation in the field, develop smart tools and introduce new methods that continue to transform the industry.
One of the major milestones in this journey was Tavas’ participation in the national “Innovation Leaders 360” program by JDC, the Technion, the Ministry of Economy and the Israel Innovation Authority. Tavas won first place for a project addressing workforce shortages in the cleaning industry, presenting an AI-based TPT measurement tool to assess the feasibility of robotics and automation for each client site and create accurate operational plans. This initiative demonstrated how technology and human insight can combine to produce real, measurable change.
Tavas has also led innovation in the cleanroom field, introducing robotic and technological solutions never before seen in Israel.
“Our vision is simple: excellent, modern and human-centered service supported by professional technology and responsible thinking. Innovation at Tavas begins with people and accessible technology, empowering employees and elevating the service experience.” — Ilan Shimoni, CEO of Tavas.
This year, Tavas made history by launching its first Innovation Conference — a large-scale event that brought together managers, clients and business partners and showcased advanced solutions developed in the field. Fourteen innovation stations presented autonomous robots, real-time monitoring systems, service quality measurement models, smart workforce management tools and exclusive imported technologies. Representatives from leading corporations, including El Al, Rafael, major banks and high-tech companies, experienced firsthand the integration of sustainability, technology and advanced service culture.
According to Yeshurun, “At Tavas, innovation is not a temporary project but a way of life. It starts with caring for people and providing tools that simplify work, and continues with robotics and smart systems that streamline processes, improve quality and set a new standard of excellence.”
Following years of development, investment and leadership, Tavas received official recognition by winning first place in the 2025 Service Sector Innovation Index from the Israeli Institute for Innovation Assessment (INSA). This milestone reflects long-term commitment to sustainability, people and technological progress.
Today, Tavas continues to promote and implement advances in robotics, smart monitoring, data and green energy, while strengthening human capital, fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation and investing in next-generation technologies that position Israel at the forefront of the cleaning industry. Tavas proves that the cleaning sector can be smart, sustainable and inspiring. Winning the innovation index is a direct continuation of a revolution rooted in vision, people and values of excellence, and represents an ongoing promise of innovative, responsible, and high-quality service for clients every day.
Reflecting on Tavas’ journey and its impact, Daniel Milo, CEO of Electra FM Group, highlights that this achievement reflects a culture built on field excellence, collaboration and creative operational thinking. True innovation, he notes, grows from daily work at client sites and evolves into a vision that positions Israel at the forefront of the global service and IFM industry.
